My excuse was that I need to leave some evenings open because I’m starting a nonprofit for Modesto Sound (we’re under the umbrella of another group right now–the awesome Stanislaus Arts Council) and I just got a part-time job doing sound and lights in Stockton.

By the way, I didn’t know there were still parking problems at MJC–boy do I ever remember those. You would like enter a lot and there would be one extremely agitated driver looking for a spot to open up–kind of like a rabid dog panting in the corner of the lot. So if a spot opened and you were near it–that person would be so angry because they were there first waiting. I mean we are just trying to attend classes, it shouldn’t be so hard. I ended up just parking far away by the houses and walking in so I didn’t have to have that incredible stress.

We like Karen’s problems they are good to make us feel like even someone as great as Karen can have an issue. She was white as a sheet when she told me what had happened; guess they had recorded for hours without hitting save yet.
